As we embark on this journey through the Psalms, we find ourselves at the doorstep of Psalm 2, a passage that invites us to explore the profound truths of God's kingdom. It's like opening a grand book, where each page reveals a new layer of divine wisdom. Psalm 2, in particular, offers us a glimpse into the heart of God's plan for His people, a plan that is both challenging and comforting.

The Gospel in the Psalms
In the first Psalm, we encountered the law, a standard of perfection that seemed insurmountable. But Psalm 2 shifts our focus, introducing us to the gospel—the good news that there is hope beyond our imperfections. The psalm begins with a vivid picture of the nations conspiring against the Lord and His anointed one. It's a scene of rebellion, where earthly rulers seek to break free from God's authority. Yet, amid this defiance, God remains unshaken. He laughs, not out of mockery, but because He knows the end of the story. (Psalm 2:1-4)
The psalmist introduces us to a king, a son, who is appointed by God to rule over the nations. This king is not just any ruler; He is the anointed one, the Messiah, whom we know as Jesus Christ. The New Testament echoes this truth, pointing us back to Psalm 2 as a royal coronation of Jesus, the eternal King. (Acts 13:32-33)
Kiss the Son: A Call to Faith
The heart of Psalm 2 is encapsulated in a simple yet profound command: "Kiss the Son." This act of homage symbolizes submission, reverence, and worship. It's an invitation to acknowledge Jesus as the rightful King of our lives. —a gesture of loyalty and devotion. (Psalm 2:12)
This call to "kiss the Son" is a call to faith. It's an invitation to recognize Jesus as the King by the Lord's decree, the King who has dominion over all, the King who dashes and destroys the rebellious, and the King who delivers and defends those who seek refuge in Him.
Living Under the King's Reign
So, what does it mean to live under the reign of this King? It means acknowledging that everything we have—our time, resources, and even our thoughts—belongs to Him. It's about submitting every aspect of our lives to His authority. This might sound daunting, but it's a path to true freedom and joy.
When we bow to the King, we find refuge. We discover that He is not a tyrant but a loving ruler who invites us into His kingdom. He offers protection, deliverance, and the promise of eternal life. In a world where everyone seems to want to rule their own lives, choosing to submit to Christ is a radical act of faith. (Philippians 2:10-11)
A Refuge for the Weary
Psalm 2 concludes with a promise: "Blessed are all who take refuge in Him." This blessing is not about material wealth or earthly success. It's about finding true happiness and peace in the presence of God. It's about knowing that, despite our imperfections, we are loved and accepted by the King. (Psalm 2:12)
If you feel burdened by the weight of your own shortcomings, take heart. The King invites you to find refuge in Him. He offers forgiveness, grace, and a new beginning. All He asks is that you trust Him, bow in faith, and kiss the Son.
Embracing the King's Call
As we conclude our reflection on Psalm 2, let's remember that God's kingdom is unshakable. Despite the rebellion of nations and the defiance of rulers, the decree of the Lord stands firm. Christ will return to consummate His kingdom, and His dominion will be established forever.
So, whether you're just beginning your spiritual journey or have walked with the Lord for years, the call remains the same: Kiss the Son. Embrace His reign in your life, and find refuge in His love. Blessed are those who take refuge in Him.

Dear Beloved Covenant Christian fellowship
I greet you in the wonderful name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
First, I praise God for this precious opportunity to share my ministry activities with you. We are living in the last days, and Satan is working tirelessly to destroy the Kingdom of God and oppress His children. Yet, in the midst of these challenges, we press on with unwavering faith, determined to tear down the strongholds of the enemy. I humbly recognize our ministry as part of this divine mission, striving with all our strength to expand God's Kingdom in India. This is why God saved me—from sin, from curses, and from eternal condemnation—so that I may serve Him.
We have a dedicated team of pastors, evangelists, and youth members who are committed to spreading the Gospel. Our ministry reaches rural and coastal areas, where we regularly visit villages to share the Good News. We hold street meetings, pastors' seminars, and youth gatherings, prison Ministry, and our primary focus is church planting. Despite having no organizational backing or external support, we trust in God’s provision to carry out His work.
In addition to our evangelistic efforts, we care for 30 orphaned children who were once homeless and deprived of love and security. Their situation is heartbreaking. We strive to provide them with shelter, food, and care according to James 1:27: "Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress." However, due to a lack of resources, we struggle to meet their daily needs. I humbly ask for your prayers and any compassionate support you may be able to extend.
Beyond orphan care, our ministry also serves widows, lepers, and the destitute. Many widows in our region are abandoned by their families and left to suffer alone. Likewise, lepers are outcasts, often forced to live under trees, on sidewalks, or at bus and train stations, enduring rejection and humiliation. God has placed a deep burden on my heart for these suffering souls, and we do our best to care for them. Though we are limited, we strive to provide at least one meal a day, but sometimes we fall short.
Our outreach also includes social welfare and relief efforts, such as leprosy eradication programs, food distribution for widows and the elderly, HIV awareness and healthcare, and vocational training through our tailoring center.
I sincerely invite you to visit India and witness our ministry firsthand. We can arrange Gospel meetings, pastors’ seminars, and youth gatherings to further God’s work together. If you feel led by the Lord to support or guide us, your encouragement would be a great blessing in this desperate time. I long for your leadership and guidance to help develop and strengthen our ministry. We are willing to be fully transparent, and if needed, we can work through a trusted banking channel of your choice. I am also happy to share pictures and updates on our ministry’s activities.
Please pray for us, as we continually pray for you. I eagerly await your kind and favorable response.
Yours in Christ’s eternal love,
Pastor Gummadi Ebenezer
